The Transducers

A group I recently formed that's interested in giving the audience the ability to directly and indirectly affect the music. Possibilities include flash lights or laser pointers directed from the audience to on stage pick-up devices (photocells) or a camera to pick-up subtle movement which could be interpreted and transduced using MAX/Msp/Jitter. So in essence, audience members become collaborators, instigators and possibly saboteurs. It's sort of like a reverse sphere of influence, where control is exerted inward as opposed to outward.
